All the traditions that exist in the Aegean islands (recorded on our other webpages) betray the existence of some historical truth. They are signs that support the view that from Crete, as well as from the Aegean islands, some peoples have passed, which their origin reaching the Atlantean generation. These peoples were called "the peoples of the sea", "copper tribes," Poseidon's sons", "Telchines", "Kabiri or Cabeiri", "Pelasgians", "Leleges".
Even for the Leleges, whose leader, Lelegas, was also the son of Poseidon and Libya, there is evidence that these peoples originated from the same Atlantean generation. The Leleges even claimed, from the Pelasgians, for their Poseidonian-Atlantean origin ...

The traditions of an Aegean civilization and the passage of the peoples and tribes mentioned, from the Aegean islands and especially from Crete, Thira, Delos, Rhodes, Limnos until to Samothraki, are back in more years and millennia. This is evidenced by many clues and some proofs that we draw from the books of Homer, Hesiod, to Plato and Plutarch, and all the well-known Greek and Latin writers, as well as the Egyptian writings and the sources of other countries
With this argument and the demystification of prehistoric traditions, we claim that this area of the Aegean was once conquered by the Atlanteans. As Atlantis was been flourishing, the Atlases were supreme in the native tribes. When Atlantis was swamped, the few Atlanteans occupiers or colonists of these islands were assimilated from the indigenous element.
The history of the Atlanteans and their traditions were mythologized in this area, they were connected with local traditions and several Atlantean heroes were deified.
The Greek Euemeros or Evemerus wrote for the gods that " they were not supernatural beings, but famous warriors who passed into the myth and became 'gods' " ...
Some distant descendants of the Atlanteans later wanted to revive the Aegean islands, the civilization of the lost Atlantis, possibly thinking of establishing the New Atlantis of Aegean Sea or the new Aigeida which several identify with Atlantis.
